AUCTION

Our legendary Silent and Live Auctions raise over $1.5 million every year!  Any item donation valued at $1,000 or more will be included in our auction book that is distributed to over 2,500 donors and guests. If you would like to contribute by donating an item or experience please contact the Cattle Baron's Ball office at 214.443.9222.

RETAIL PARTIES

Cattle Baron's Ball offers the opportunity for retail parties in which we invite our members to a shopping event where a percentage of sales are donated back to our cause.  A retailer must committ to a minimum of a $10,000 cash donation, 15% of sales during the event and a $1,000 auction item to be considered for an event.  Due to the high number of requests for events, CBB may not be able to accomodate all retail party offers.  If interested, please contact office at 214.443.9222.

INKIND

Do you have a product or service you would like to donate to Cattle Baron's Ball?  Example of inkind donations we accept include: Luxury goods for exclusive donor events, gift cards, catering services, waived venue rental fees, event floral decor, small food items for pre-party event favor bags, and other unique opportunities. Please contact the office at 214.443.9222 with your donation idea.

JUNIOR CATTLE BARON'S BALL

Families with a child battling cancer have a unique set of circumstances and challenges. To help ease their burden and allow families to have a special respite from treatments and stress, the CBB Committee hosts a joyful daytime Junior Cattle Baron's Ball for pediatric patients and their families. The entire event is free to the patients and their families and allows them to focus on family rather than medicine. To make a donation please contact the office at 214.443.9222.

Additional American Cancer Society Programs and Services

To contribute to any of these programs or if you have questions please call the office at 214.443.9222.

HOPE LODGE

Help give hope a home in Dallas. Hope Lodge offers cancer patients and their caregivers a free place to stay when their best hope for effective treatment is in another city. It provides a home-like environment where guests can retreat to private rooms or connect with others. Hope Lodge Dallas will be on the Baylor University Medical Center campus and will include 50 guest suites, communal kitchen and living area and 24-hour staffing and onsite parking.

PATIENT NAVIGATION

The American Cancer Society  Patient Navigatior Program offers personalized support to help cancer patients and their caregivers stay on track with treatment and car. A navigator is a specially trained staff person who works with the patient one-on-one and helps guide him or her through their cancer treatment process. More than 2,150 area patients were served in 2015. The program proves site-based navigators at four North Texas hospitals, support and guidance to patients and their caregivers and support in person or over the phone.

PATIENT TRANSPORTATION

Cancer patients often miss or forgo potentially life-saving treatment because they cannot afford transportation, are too ill to drive themselves and many lack family and friends to drive them. In 2015, 11,424 rides were provided free of charge to area cancer patients, to and from cancer-related appointments. ACS meets the needs of area patients with: daily rides through trained volunteers, bus and paratransit passes, taxi vouchers and referrals to other community programs. In 2017 funding needs in North Texas for this program exceeds $170,000.

CANCER RESEARCH

Cattle Baron's Ball funds vital and cutting-edge research. Each year we offer supporters the oppurtunity to learn more about the work happening in Dallas through an annual "Progess in Cancer Research" Research Symposium. We also offer one-on-one interaction with researchers at on-site lab tours and presentations. Our 2017 Research Symposium presenters were:

Nicholas Conrad, Ph.D "Understanding gene expression and regulation in relation to sarcoma associated cancers."

Raquibul Hannan, M.D., PhD "Immuniological effects of radiation treatment and immunotherapy."

Our funding needs for cancer research in 2017 will exceed $4 million in North Texas.

IN HONOR & IN MEMORY

Let your loved ones know you support their cancer journey by donating In Honor or In Memory of them by making a donation of $500. We will recognize your gift in their honor or memory at the Ball, in the auction book and/or online. For questions or if you wish to contribute, please call the Cattle Baron's Ball office at 214-443-9222.
